Who we are

Blue for Barrett and The Barrett Frick Scholarship Foundation were organized in August 2021 after the tragic loss of Barrett Frick, a rising sophomore in high school, and the son of Courtney Anderson and Jay Frick. Barrett would have graduated from high school in 2024.

Blue for Barrett started as a phrase, a hashtag, and a color to wear in honor of Barrett. Its intent is to raise awareness in communities, schools, and on social media about mental health and suicide prevention.

The Barrett Frick Scholarship Foundation was created to provide a legacy of Barrett’s life and a memorial scholarship to gift to deserving Seniors each year in surrounding counties in both private and public schools.
